Contest Online ScoreBoard

ContestOnlineScore.com is establishing a special award program to encourage the use of scoreboards during international contests. We are currently announcing three plaques that will be available for participants in the CQ WPX CW Contest May 25-26, 2019:

–  Highest Online Scoreboard  (Single operator Low Power)

–  Highest Online Scoreboard  (Single operator High Power)

–  Highest Online Scoreboard  (Multi-operator)

Single operator includes assisted or non-assisted entries.

Multi-operator category includes M/S, M/2 and M/M entries.

There is one requirement for all contenders, They are required to actively contribute their scores to Contest Online Scoreboard sent directly or forwarded over Score Distribution Server during all periods of their contest activity.

The plaques winners will be awarded after official results are published by the contest organizers. Any disqualified entries will not be eligible.

We are looking for plaques sponsors. Your name will be on the plaque!

We’ve been proud to provide scoreboard service to the on-site ham radio competition Carpathian Cup held every year in April.

This year Carpathian Cup was scheduled for April 5-7 with the competition day on April 6. There were two sessions by one hour split by 2 hours intermission brake. The beauty of that event is in a small footprint room it could use for few desks where one desk for one participant:

The maximum transmitting power is limited by 5 watts only. And a 8 watts resistor dummy load should be use as an antenna! If a maximum power will be exceeded – the dummy load will burn out shortly and that participant gets off the competition. That’s the best power monitor I’ve ever seen! ))

This year there were 16 participants from two countries – UR and YO.

Two WRTC guys were among them. Just seven participants were using our scoreboard.

Every session a new callsignes have been assigned from the block of UW34OZ– UW37OZ.

Every participant gets a new call just few minutes before a new session start.

Everybody could see an own standing on the scoreboard other special calls standings as well.

We have setup the Carpathian Cup scoreboard to hide all the participants personal calls. So nobody can get other special callsignes owners!

We all are contesters. And we all understand how important the WRTC qualification process is! ))

The new option called “WRTC 2022 Roadmap Archive” keeps all the WRTC qualification contests final results in an archive. We keep also all the timing data so it’s integrated with almost all standard tools we have for live contests: bands breakdown data, hourly performance graphs, club competition page etc.

We’ve expanded an existing scoreboard bands breakdown view with multipliers numbers:

The left figure displays the number of QSO on a band. The right one shows the number of worked on a band MULTIPLIERS.

We have deployed a new option – Manual Scoreboard Posting. That would be useful for contesters are not successful with configuring their logger. The new option could give a chance to publish their call and score on a scoreboard anyway.

How to get the Manual Scoreboard Posting form?

• At first that requires user login. The only registered users can do that.

There are two places were we put the link to the posting form.

On the Scoreboard page header:

To make score upload process comfortable as much as possible we are keeping last uploaded values during user web session. So just the new ones should be entered.

Manual postings are valid only for active contests. The last score upload could be done withing 15 minutes after the contest has finished.

Recently we have added a new feature – “View”. That gives some new tools to change the scoreboard page output based on personal preferences.

The View customization page has a link in the top menu:

There are 2 options now:

• All Single Op – display Single Operator Assisted and Non-Assisted together in the same section. It could be activated for contest splitting Single operators by two groups Assisted and Non-Assisted.
• Top Ten – only display the top ten highest scores in each category. That could minimize the scoreboard screen by showing up just the top score entries.

There are few more options in a “View” waiting line. We hope to implement them soon. Everyone can suggest their options . We are always open to new ideas!
